Recently the Seoul Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case in South Korea. It is a matter of a flagrant misappropriation of credit in the amount of approximately $ 40 million.
A citizen of Korea Shin Geong Choel is suspected of the organization of the crime. Previously he was the General Director of Koinvest in Russia. This man established in the past such Russian companies as Anles and SahalinDom.
The investigation found that the accomplice in the actions related to failure to return the loan that Shin Geong Choel received from Kookmin Bank was Gyung-Deok Choi, the citizen of Russia.
Today, he and his daughter Lee Ok Geum manage the South Korean company Si Resources co ltd, although both of them are citizens of Russia. Lee Ok Geum thus also has time to deal with the role of Director-General of Koinvest.
The criminal scheme started to work in 2012. Shin Geong Choel sold shares in his companies. Lee Ok Geum gets 90% of the SahalinDom and Gyung-Deok Choi gets 70% of the Anles.
The total value of these shares didn’t constitute 40 thousand RUB but the company Si Resources bought them for $ 10 million!
Also through false Russian organization Globalstroy from these companies have been transferred money for the construction of the Golf Club (a total amount $ 3.3 million). The money was taken from KukminBank in 2007-2008.
Two sides were affected in this case. Si Resources investors' funds have been spent on the very inflated price for the purchase of third-party companies. And KukminBank has lost their credit money.
At the moment, the Seoul Prosecutor's Office began checking the legality of Lee Ok Geum for the acquisition of shares in companies SahalinDom and Anles.
